The Stage 6 Over size variator has larger plates (100mm) to get belt higher for better top speed by belt riding higher on drive plate. Acceleration is increased by an aggressive ramp plate inside the variator where roller weights ride.

An improved fan is included that gets the air moving. You may use this kit without using the overrange clutch plates although it is suggested.

A complete rebuild for the variator that comes with everything you need plus torque spring.

The electric start is removed and no longer function with this kit install. A spacer that comes with the kit takes the place of start clutch that is behind the variator.

The Stage6 R/T variator has revised roller curves that have been optimised for usage with R/T engines and accommodate weights in a size of 19 x 15.5mm. The result is a very homogenous rev characteristic that effects the complete acceleration phase. The precise surface angles have been achieved using CNC technology and the surface has been treated with a ceramic conversion coating, which prolongs the surface structure and roughness. Shot-peening, as it is done with pure aluminium pulleys, is therefore not necessary - it only becomes necessary when the coating shows noticeable signs of wear. The centre area of the ramp plate has been reinforced and the sintered guide piece offers optimal lubricating properties.
