The XT70-GK is an excellent entry-level cart for small children ages 6 - 10, and is specifically equipped with additional safety features for these young drivers.

This 70cc Kart is not recommended for children under the age of 6. In addition to the standard 4-point seat belt/shoulder harnesses and padded brush guards typically found on adult-sized buggies, this Mini Buggy has brake and accelerator pedals that are adjustable front-to-rear over a distance of 5". This allows a seatback-to-pedal distance range between 24" and 29".

Each seat also has two bolting positions (about 2" apart) where they can be attached to the frame of the buggy. This yields a net legroom range of approx 22" to 29". A second extra safety feature is an adjustable throttle pedal stop, that can be used to limit the maximum speed to approx 5-8 mph. This allows parents to control the child's speed, until the child has learned to handle higher speeds, in the 15 - 18 mph range.

A third extra safety item is a remote kill switch that allows a parent or other supervisory adult to kill the engine from a distance of up to approx 50'. Built into the remote fob, is also a remote start button. The clutchless 2-speed + reverse transmission allows maximum pulling power from the 70cc engine, without having to learn how to shift with a clutch.
